DrinkNick31 nailed the notes. I had the score a little lower but was spot on the notes. Auction bottle because I am such a huge Foley fan. This bottle was amazing.

A hidden Gem from wine maker Bob Foley. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. One of out favorate bottles if you like a full body single vineyard cab, this is it. Great little Atlas Peek grower. Small production.

Wow. Amazing fruit (think dark plum) and spice. Smooth tannins. Drinks great right out of the bottle and will continue to develop if you are the patient type.

Poured a glass with Coravin. Started out a little tight, but opened up beautifully over two hours. Medium ruby color w/ long, slow tears. Great intensity on the nose with black cherry, dried fig, light toast and cocoa. Nice balance w/ good acid that bodes well for aging over many years. Ready to drink now-smoother than many mountain cabs at 5 years old.

Very good aromatics and a lovely fruit explosion - followed by a gradually unfolding of many nuanced flavors of black cherry cola, coffee, pipe tobacco, toasted nuts, and chocolate on the finish.
