I found this very good, but not as good as this terroir can deliver, even in challenging years. Pretty nose with pear, white flowers, and citrus. Ever balanced on the palate, with white peach, a nice hint of marzipan, and pomelo. It is from the viscosity, weight (these two dimensions started well but quickly turned disappointing), and length (never impressive) that I was expecting more. 91-92

So backwards and unevolved. Pours out glistening and pale. There's a bare whiff of citrus, white peach and blossom. It is so direct, with awesome mineral tension. It has real fruit intensity and fabulous cut. Length is superb.

A great wine by any measure. Palate and nose both far more open than the last time i tasted it (3 years ago). Wild white flowers, honeycomb and some silly putty flavor that i cant put my finger on. Still abit of sulphur hanging on so i think it will keep for 5-10 more years. Love the chewy toffee texture of the wine- a sure sign of quality in my book

The standard-bearer of Puligny-Montrachet in my limited experience, having tasted with Jacques himself in the cellar last year. Perfect balance, complexity, triumph in a somewhat hard vintage, and given Roulot/Lafon/Sauzet/Ente/Leflaive, others are priced in the stratosphere, Jacques' wines are a relative bargain.

Fantastic. Rich and full Chardonnay. Cinnamon on the nose.
