  Pure currant with plum and dark intense fruit, still big tannins and long finish. Plenty of life left

  3 Terrific Rose Champagnes, 5 Great Cabernets, and a Fabulous Dessert Wine. (Yan's China Bistro, Walnut Creek, Ca.): 93 points today and 100 points 7 years from now; This wine was served last by me and suffered when compared to its peers today because it is not ready to drink without a serious amount of decanting or cellar time. Nose of black currant, black cherry, black berry, licorice, and Mt. Veeder minerals and earth, same on the palate, big, big, bold body, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, intensely concentrated, delicious tasting, rich fruit, the very best of Mt. Veeder fruit, and a long, long, long finish. Photo uploaded.

  Definitely a Napa wine. Full bodied, sweet fruit on the finish but not overdone and offset by other flavors. Smooth and long finish.

  Still took a while to open up, red and black fruit, cherry, raspberry, blackberry, pomegranate, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, great texture and purity with a perfect balance. Seems like the older this gets the more tannins that are noticeable.
