Purplish ruby color. Both sweet and savory on the nose, with dark berry fruit aromas combined which chocolate, cigar box, smoke, truffle, violet, and turned earth. It has that combination of depth and lift that comes with good syrah, but also a more exotic and earthy touch from the xinomavro. On the palate, medium weight with a satiny texture and good intensity of fruit and spice. It's less earthy and smoky in the mouth than on the nose, with more effusive and sweeter fruit, but it still has a profile with a good amount of interest. It also has a surprisingly ebullient finish, that polishes everything off with a laugh of juicy fruit. An interesting one.

Very dark. Lots of tannins, good acid. Powerful and leathery. A touch of resin. Lovely wine.

Plum, chocolate, herb, vermouth. Herb and meaty aromas. Calls to mind a hearty country stew. Beef stock with a Minestrone Soup herbal composition.
