Damn good for the money. Rounder and more modern in style but loads of character. Cherry, tomato leaf, earth. Slightly oxidized esp if left open for a few hours but in a good way that makes it seem more complex.

It took a good hour to decant. First 30 was still a little bitter. Opened up nice. Dark burgundy edges. Maybe cherry and oak. Nose a little subdued....had to inhale several to get it.

We pnp'd after drinking a rather flat 2009 Cabernet. Red fruit on the nose, cherries, leather and a touch of cedar on the palate. A nice smooth finish. Some might find the 90 to be a little generous but this wine was far superior to its predecessor. Good QPR for a 2010 brunello.

no formal notes written. needed two hours to soften tannins. lush red fruit and grainy tannins. not overly complex but a solid wine. will probably gain some benefit from aging. paired well with rosemary veal chops.

Again a solid brunello from a great vintage, exotic aromas on the nose, dark cherry, tobacco and cedar on the palate leading into a nice finish.
