I get freshness and rounded tannins. Great structure. Some roses, tar, spices, but surprisingly little taste. And I am fairly sure I am not hit with Covid!!

PnP. Dark garnet with large brick tints at the rim showing clear signs of maturity. The nose is layered with dark fruit, exotic spices, Mediterranean garrrigue herbs, vanilla, dried fruits. Medium-to-full-bodied on the palate that follows the nose. Highly textured and smooth. The tannins are still resolving but very-very fine. Long warm finish, no burn, alcohol 14,5% is well integrated. A modern-style big wine that has an amazing balance.

Opened in the bottle for 3 hours plus. Crimson almost brown transparent coloring with large visible clear rim. The nose is an explosive mix of rose, tar, truffles, fresh strawberry, vanilla... Palate follows suit but is really cut short by tannins that grip and alcohol that burns. Needs 3-5 more years to fatten up and calm down.

{Winery visit} I like what I see here, but more for its potential than what's in the glass today. That said, what's in the glass today is really quite nice, the fruit is fresh, there's good acidity and the wine has good balance. It's just a little too shrouded in oak, and youth, right now - this needs a few years to sort out, maybe 3 or 4, before it really begins to fulfill its potential. This is easily recommended; the 14,5% is mostly resolved, and dissipated from my glass in only a few minutes. Thru 2029.

Medicin, tar and roses. Elegant on the palate. Strong tannins. Good structure. Will hold for many years.
