Improved over Time. The finish was a surprise, it dropped off then came back like gangbusters with anise and black cherry and had a long finish. Drank without food. We thought would go well with lamb kabobs

This is polished, with all the elements, but seems to need time to integrate the relatively heavy oak treatment which now disguises the earthiness and savory elements of the clearly deep and rich and extracted fruit. The modern and polished style has not negated the typicity of the Dao elements, only masks them, hopefully temporarily. Try again in 1 year.

Dark brick. Nose: roast plum, smoke, vanilla. Taste: crisp, medium body, smooth tannin, roast plums, earth, smoke, vanilla. Finish: long, dark cherry, cocoa, smoke. Very nice.
