Jim's Retirement Party (Libertyville, IL): Small glass from magnum. This would have shown very differently if not following so much older Burgundy, but this held its own in its own right. Ripe red fruit on the slightly sweet side with good depth, ending with good enough brightness.

Second Sunday Group: 1989 Bordeaux (MiY's): From magnum. Cherry, cinnamon and nutmeg notes. Red berry and cherry fruit on the palate, with spice and clove accents. Nice.

Killer as always. One of my all-time favorites. Dark cherries and pepper. (92-93)
