Kind of tastes like a Beaujolais with tannins on steroids. Deep rich purple color. The nose is shy and slightly astringent with red raspberry preserves, black cherry and something like petrol or wet leaves. Sharp, astringent red fruit. Some secondary lead pencil, and wet leather flavors. Just past medium bodied. Little or no influence from oak. Dry, black tea tasting tannins. The finish starts with strawberry and red raspberry, but quickly fades to a more medicinal character.

Good the first day. Light refreshing, a little tart sour berry. The best nonvintage, nonvarietal I've ever had. Had lost everything on the 2nd (after being in the frig). Added to red vinegar crock.
