  • Enjoyable fruit, not complex. Ready to drink.

  • Such a well-made and delightful zinfandel from Carol Shelton! The price point is perfect to drink during the week, yet I would never hesitate to serve this to guests. All the red fruit markers are there, as is the peppery finish. This one goes down easy... just right to be a well-received house wine.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, black pepper and cool/menthol. It tastes like prune, strawberry jam, blackberry, blueberry, forest floor, vanilla, oak and black pepper. The body is medium/full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
