Pretty solidly into tertiary territory but where fairly necrotic on uncorking, it was much less so and in fact coming back to life an hour after splash decanting and removal of chunky sediment. The result was something you'd have to like old wine to appreciate, but we do. Drink soon, though.

Big nose of dark berries and smoke. On the palate, somewhat jammy notes of ripe fruit with a flavor not unlike brown paper shopping bags and highly toasted barrels. Stops just short of turning sappy on the finish. Tannins still hold everything together. The syrah (70%) flavor comes across prominently. At peak, and should drink well over the next five years, maybe longer.

An outstanding blend and excellent QPR. Served with a rustic roast prime rib and root vegitables. Very complex with just the right amount of fruit and tannin but not to dry on the finish.

Showed great at first. Mature and tertiary, but the fruit fell out pretty quickly. It's done, drink up.

70% Syrah, 30% Cab. Smoky and rich, almost too rich, on the palate, but aging well and should hold thru 2025 or so.
