very similar comments to July 2018 Very good, 13.5% all. Colour: deep red berries, somewhat dusty Bouquet: juicy dark berries and cherries, spicey Palate: like bouquet, mint, savoury, characteristic Bordeaux bone dryness, chalky fine tannins, leather, medium length finish. Still a bit sharp and can keep rest yers yet. July 2018

10/7/2017 SPC Class WK5: France // Champagne, Bordeaux & Burgundy: Opaque garnet color, aromatic aroma showing good age: notes of blackberry, plu. Very dry, full-bodied, lively acidity and high but somewhat astringent tannins. Intense flavors, of red berry and smoke. Moderately long finish. Nice complexity on this one. Perhaps needed a little more air as it was a bit harsh, but overall as others said a GREAT QPR.

Always well-received by the newbies, checkers or those wanting not to look out of place at a wine dinner. Fairly simple, relatively light, good fruit, baby tannins, sipping well now and cheap as chips.

The ultimate exceptional QPR. When your friends sip more than one bottle EACH, you cannot go wrong with this fair-to-middling drop.
