Home alone on a rainy night - no need for anything special. This turned out to be very decent -- nothing special but definitely pleasant -- juicy, not too fruity. As someone stated previously "soft beet" seems about right. (But I like beets...) I would buy this again.

Big, round, silky (not fleshy) - totally typical Merlot. Predominately black-fruit and "soft beet" profiles that pair reasonably with blue cheese. Caraway and herbs de provence is a major stretch, but then again a sharp cheese brings out potential. Nothing offensive here - a reasonably balanced offering that ironically has little to offer. Nonetheless SOLID under $20.

Clear with medium intensity and ruby appearance. Nose is clean with medium intensity. Notes of red cherry, floral (rose) and plum. Palate is dry with medium acidity, medium- tannins, and medium body. Red cherry and vanilla. Medium finish.
Good wine with a little too much alcohol burn to be completely balanced.

It smells like rose, hazelnut, cherry and raisin. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.
