Burgundy Tasting at Chevalier Wines: Very restrained nose -- it took quite a bit of effort to get the slight meat and earth aromas to come out. The palate is really high toned with tons of spicy oak, which could've been alright, if there were actually something on the palate to go along with it.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Reduction at first. Red fruit with modest spice and floral support. Slightly more structure than I'd prefer for the fruit quality.

Tasting of 2013's at Domaine de la Pousse d'Or (Volnay): Lighter color than the Santenay. Floral aromas. More texture although still light bodied. Dark fruit, cranberry acidity, little oak. Elegant Volnay.
