Intense nose of raspberry, red fruits and minerals. Lush and round balanced by tart raspberry, crushed rock and acidity leading to a long finish. Very enjoyable and though the fruit is still intense, I don't believe it will get significantly better with time. Drink now.

Clear, medium-ruby color. Aromatics of pomegranate & fig, sandalwood, tea leaf & paprika spice, hibiscus and hints of stems. Consistent flavors on the palate along a dense core, adding touches of minerality and with a nice tension of richness and acid. Fine billowy tannins, finishing with juicy and lingering depth. Drinking very well. Needs a little air upon opening. Drink/hold.

Wow, the strong varietal nose w/out the barnyard. Both skin and flesh and licking batteries or the smell of model railroad in action penetrate the nose as well. The fruit takes a Caboose to the spice and predominant nose. Needs a good brown reduction.

Lompoc Wine Ghetto Tastings: Aromas of mineral, fig, clove and rose hips. Rich silky cherry and fig on the palate with floral spice and earthy secondary notes. Med+ acid and silky fine tannin, finishing with nice depth.

World of Pinot Noir Grand Tasting (Bacara - Goleta CA): Tasting, brief note. Elegant red cherry aromas and flavors. Lean styled, very well done.
