Opened at 56 degrees. Wine was fairly light in colour. Nose was of dried fruits, perhaps apricot or peach. Fairly subtle. At first taste, had little flavour, almostly sparkling feel. Acidic.
After 30 mins, a little more fruit came out (peach and apricot). No flint or earthiness. My wife and I both felt that the wine had passed it's prime. When tasting another bottle about a year ago, the wine had far more flavour and body. This bottle was dull and lifeless. A shame.

Pre-Birthday Dinner for my Mom (Asia Grand): My goodness! Is this a sauvignon blanc? In a blind, this would most prob be a burg. "ass" notes of mushrooms and lemon grass. This had an aged feel to it that makes it seem almost over the hill. Complex layers of grapefruit, honeyed butter notes with a lining of dried straw grass running through the backbone. Lacks a bit of length and would definitely prefered it fresher. Detectable oaky creaminess.

Cenando en Le Gare en Santa Rosa (CA). Un vino cremoso y bastante fresco: aromas a piña, savia y espárragos. Fondo evidente de mantequilla sobre una sartén caliente. Precioso color oro. No está mal del todo.

Visiting Napa & All Around; 8/2/2008-8/18/2008 (California - USA): Dinning in La Gare in Santa Rosa (CA). A creamy and fresh wine: aromas from pinneapple, sap and asparagus. Evident fund of butter on a hot frying pan. Precious gold colour. Not bad at all.
