  As expected I suppose. Ripe and full but I can only imagine this wine was once more over the top than what it is now. Cuts of acid and minerals help keep the wine in some sort of check. Some aniseed in the back end points to the alcohol. May well live a long time given barely any sign of age at 8 years but definitely no classic in the making.
