I opened this bottle to celebrate birthdays, retirements, etc. I had originally rated this as a 92 in one of my previous bottles. With this bottle, I decanted slow ox for four hours, and then did a one hour decant before trying it. The bottle was amazing. Had full earth beautiful bouquet, 0 must. I gave this wine a couple points for age. Still has some life, again I loved it

Crumbly cork but made out intact with Ah So. Gorgeous translucent color with moderate bricking. Warm nose of forest floor, scorched earth, tar and old leather books. Surprisingly light and vibrant palate with red fruits but these were secondary to dark compost and tobacco. Medium finish. Quite a lovely ode to a great vintage. Glad I have one more. Will check in in 5-6 years.

Using a Coravin to enjoy this beauty. The nose right out of the bottle was a bit musty. I was afraid it could be corked. With the pour a defined plum / orange color was evident. I decided to just let it sit in the glass and let the air do its magic The mustiness has begun to wisp away after about 30 minutes. The 58 year old wine maintains it Tempranillo characteristics Soft on the front with hints of alcohol The backend lends itself subtle spice with slight cayenne and subtle chalk. Going to let this to continue to open up.
My last bottle of this great wine. Very top shoulder. Cork half soaked but otherwise solid. 30 minutes in the glass before consuming. Bricking with orange hue, but ruby core and red fruits still present in a ripe, soft and elegant way. Hints of spice, Oak, dried herbs. Very smooth. Like so many of the prior bottles consumed in recent years, this bottle still had 5+ years of quality drinking to it, and extra point for its longevity. I'll miss these casual openings of 50+ year old bottles.
