Well I am happy to admit I was wrong. Four years ago I thought this was too lean to age, and I blew that call. It’s positively brilliant right now. It definitely speaks of Hyde. Despite the radically different winemaking treatment from say Ramey, I can clearly find a kinship. That has to be the site speaking. Crisp orchard fruit, dusted with spice, and splashed with lemon juice, just brings refreshment, and makes me smile, even after a pandemic Monday!

This crisp and lemony Chardonnay is drinking well right now - lots of citrus, only a little oak. Bright yellow in color, medium in body, nose of of grapefruit and saline. Tastes of green apple, grapefruit, pear, and minerals, with a tight and almost oily finish. 13% alcohol. Drink now, since this doesn't seem to have the fruit to last much longer.
I've been more impressed with Petroski's Italian and SB wines; this 100% Chardonnay seems a bit too tart and lean to be truly impressive. I agree with AG that this is more Chablis than Carneros, but it's an enjoyable Chardonnay - at a solid price - and a unique take on a vineyard more typically interpreted towards the opulent side (e.g., Kistler, Ramey).

Light golden color. Great nose of tropical and citrus fruit, white floral and honeysuckle aromas and just a touch of toast. Intense and flavorful on the palate with great balance of tropical fruit and structure. Finishes long. Very high quality Napa chardonnay done right.

Lovely wine that benefited from the bottle age.
