  Drank this one a little late. It held up okay but I believe to remember that my earlier consumptions of the same vintage were more satisfactory. In my opinion, one of the better values for money out there - although not quite a Marquis Philips. Nice, powerful Rioja with strong earthy flavors. Needs time to open up - especially the bouquet remains closed for quite a while. Great wine to just have with dinner. Definitely affordable enough to not have to wait for special occasions, and not so complex that you would need to be an expert to appreciate it.
