  Drank a LOT of these wines from Matetic 10 or so years ago...loved the Syrah and SB...and the Pinot was crazy different and killer! Saw this chard for $20, and thought I'd give it a go......riper golden yellow pitted fruits with some tropical flare. Creamy with some buttery oak...but not Cali like...more like a richer Burgundy....actually reminds me of a Bord blanc with a little petrol funk, chalky minerals, wool, and bright lemon citrus. Great balance to this....might be a little on the sweeter side, but I think there is plenty of acid to tame....the flavors are tasty and somewhat exotic.....something in the different camp....I like it!

  Great Chardonnay from Matetic. Super balanced between fruit and the buttery oak. Very different from the Californian ones. Elegant but strong. Super long and persistent finish. Don`t miss it if found for good prices.
