  • I am not rating this as it is not my thing. First time with a heavy PV CS blend. Good CT notes so gave it a run. 30 min decant. Juicy purple fruit, Indian spices, earthy dirt notes, with more air dried and cooked red fruits emerged. I really enjoyed this for what it had to offer, but glad this was my only bottle.

  • Decanted an hour, but it needed four to open up and balance the Petit Verdot with the Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense purple fruit, violets, earth, long finish. I would have like to taste this upon release but it was quite nice with a long decant. Parker gives it until 2035-2040 so perhaps it will integrate with age.

  • Purplish ruby red. Dark nose with black berries, blue fruits, cinnamon, spices, blueberries, black cassis and spices. Medium posh tannins (7/10) with a full body. Lush and layered palate coated with blackberries, blue berries, baking spices, and volcanos spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2035.

  • Guest brought into Hampton Social.
This was an intense wine. Super inky purple color. Completely opaque throughout.
Super aromatic plums, roasted herbs and meats, rich floral elements as well as pronounced sweet all spice and clove. A compelling nose.
The palate is rich and completely coats your tongue. There is energy and lift on the finish that leaves me loving this 45% Petit Verdot blend.
So much to love here. Wow!

  • A fine bottle of wine indeed. PnP was a little tight and palate clenching, with a blast of coiled-up black and dark red fruit, asphalt, black slate, black licorice, and a streak of red currant.

This needed about 2-3 hours in the decanter at 54 degrees to calm down. And when it finally relaxed a bit, the flavors became much more accessible and pleasurable. Same flavor profile as PnP, but just more giving and forthright.

Purity of fruit was pretty incredible. Struck a nice balance between power and finesse. It was a little monster in the beginning, so time is needed in bottle for a little more integration.

96+ points. Hold until 2018/2019+. One of the more interesting and unique top shelf Bevans in the lineup.
