Still going strong 20 years in. Slight brick coloring but inky purple in the bowl. Plenty fruity and earthy aromas. Lush mouthfeel, tannins rounded but present. Pretty high alcohol level (14.5%!) but not overblown. Not going to win any awards for subtlety, but a very good well-aged wine and perfect with a hearty, beefy meal.

Drinking wonderfully. Very much loved by all with simply great balance of dark fruit, resolved tannins, a tinge of forest floor with olive mid-palate, nice relatively long finish.

Wow, what a wine! I paired it tonight with a Beringer Cab Reserve 2006, and the Husic won hands down. This is a fruity, but not sweet Napa cab. But, it's not a Napa style cab, well, bold, but not super complex or layered. It has dark fruit, cherries and plumb on the nose with a sweet bouquet. The palate is soft and strong, not sweet. It is fruit forward, long finish and mild tannins. This is a spectacular wine if you can find it.

Private Dinner at Craft Butchery (Craft Butchery in Westport, CT): I had never even heard of this wine but it was quite an impressive showing. Showed a lot of sweet fruit with dried cherry, bell pepper, and meat on the nose. Nice Napa Valley character but also was extremely balanced. Notes of dried cherry, green pepper and currant. Remember it being a tad cool when I tried it. Very enjoyable wine that probably would have stood out more on its own had not been for the stiff competition.
