Fruit, acid, soft tannins - pleasant drinking with savoury foods. No sign of the cough syrup intensity in a lot of the aussie shiraz I've tried. Very good value. Would not have bothered with this wine if not for the favourable review in the 16Feb issue of Tastings (WSJ).

No formal note. Tasted at Sa Nook Restaurant in High Ongar, actually not bad, fresh red fruits and vanilla, not too heavy, ripe tannins, even some acidity although there was also some alcohol on the shortish finish.
