Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 89 points

  • Good but very young - popped & poured at a restaurant and each glass progressively better as it opened up. Not in a ready drinking window quite yet, my guess is needs another 2-3 years and at this point needs a long decant. With proper aging & maturation I do anticipate the score ticking up into the low 90's. Full bodied, long intense spicy aftertaste, very dark, tannic and acidic and a bit rough around the edges - needs time to settle and come together. Intense nose of dark fruit, cherry and black pepper with primary flavors very bold and distinct right now - dark fruit, tobacco, game and black pepper on the late palate / aftertaste. I do recommend this wine with the caveat that right now it is still too young.
