High pitched cranberry, slight orange citrus and mineral nose. Light to medium weight. Finishes with an intense and unusual kumquat flavor with good bitterness and acidity.

Opened this to get a sense of how these wines might age. Stood up for 1 week, decanted for 1 h then back into bottle. Aromas of herbs, woody stems, brown leaves, green stems, earth and red cherries. A seamless, beautiful palate with green stems, herbs, cherries and a bit of earth. A bit of volatile acids that are in the background and add to the complexity. Nice long finish. Elegant mouthfeel with excellent acids, as always. The wines has put on a bit of weight from its youth but has also gained in complexity. This has been ageing nicely. Unfortunately my last bottle. Will have to experiment with some other vintages to see if aging up to 10 years will be worth it. But at least for now, drinking nicely at age 7. 92+

Drunk alongside a pair of '06s (Rollin IdV and ABC Sanford&Benedict) it showed its typical earthy character with lightweight red fruit and balanced acidity. Very lovely and so distinct from the others yet so much in common with them.

Decanted for 1.5h. Initially tart cherry and cranberries with a hint of herbs. Now 1.5 h later, aromas of red cherries, raspberries, herbs, flowers, bark, hint of baking spices and earth. Palate is more tart cherries and cranberries but rounded and less austere than one might expect. Accompanied by herbs, flowers, and a bit of earth. Mild tannins on midpalate. Light bodied and elegant. Long lingering finish. Like this quite a bit.

Lovely... Light red fruit with solid spicebox frame. Plenty of acid, soft tannin. No sign of age.
