Pop and pour; a short decant would have been better to deepen the palate and blow off some of the mint/eucalyptus on the finish. With air, deep, dark, and silky as one would expect from SQN.

6 hour decant, tasted over 2 days. Balanced black currants, black raspberry, smoked kalua pig, spice, rich yet decadent. Savory till the last drop. 98+

Needs time. This was extremely reticent when opened. It needed a good amount of swirling and air to really come alive. Over the course of 30 minutes or so in the glass, it opened up beautifully. We had this without food and it probably could use a nice food to balance it out. Big and burly. Darker fruit, oak, dark spice. This is real bruiser but it is in balance.

Dark red. Minerals, spicy red fruits and cedar in the moderately robust nose upon opening. Very tart ripe cherries, the Grenache comes out strong early on. Cinnamon hits mid palate. Big flavors but not a heavy nor overly extracted wine.

Fruit is darker but less tannin than the SQN Raven, black raspberry, less tobacco, seems to be younger vines.
