Tasted November 11, 2006 at an offline. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Rot Wein glass. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of light notes of Dijon mustard (no people, I’m not kidding or being influenced by the label), butter, yellow apple and pear. Flavors of yellow apples, pears, vanilla and a touch of minerality. Light acidity with light to medium body. I’d recommend drinking over the short term. Nice wine.

DAWG OL QPR (Southlake, Texas): Very classic California Chardonnay with good citrus fruit and buttery aromas and flavors coupled with a background of oak.

First opportunity to sample this chardonnay from this smallish producer from the Napa Valley. Very appealing winemaking style. Bright fruit on the nose and good nuance of minerality. Not overly oaked. Good mouth-feel.
