Clear pale yellow with low intensity. Super savory nose with toasty, stinky and smokey notes. Day two added in some dark floral notes and a ton of roasted nuts. Palate is some completely different. With notes of green apples, wet grass, and hay. Moderate plus body with some citrus undertones too. Moderate acidity (7/10) that is a little sharp. Long and warm finish. Drink till 2021.

First on CT to review this wine so I can't borrow from previous reviews. The vineyard changed grape sources for the Viognier starting with this bottle but still sourced from the Russian River Valley. A lot of flavors and textures coming at you--white fruit with just enough acid and I swear I tasted some dark chocolate on the finish. Is that possible in a white wine? I am thinking this winery has a heck of a wine maker. Better on day two.

(Two Shepherds Viognier Catie's Corner) Slightly hazy lemon yellow color; fresh, savory, tart apple nose; fresh, tart pear, apple palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish
