As I suspected this turned out just right and is drinking beautifully right now. Give it two hours and try with some goat cheese and crackers. Fantastic Bordeaux for $25. Yet another great experience with Bordeaux.

Big improvement from 2 years ago though still some tannins to be resolved. Going to give my remaining bottle one or two more years. This wine is softening and there are some nice earthy and vegetal elements coming through. The fruit is solid.

The 3rd wine of Chateau Lascombes. Aromatic black cherry and black plum, which also are the chief flavors in the mouth, along with bright acidity and good concentration. Firm and drying tannins frame the taste from sip to swallow. The tannins are dry and gripping in the aftertaste. Overall, the wine needs more time to become especially enjoyable and more delicious as the tannins soften, integrate, and release their grip on the fruit.

Seems like there is some good material to work with but couldn't get past the bitter finish. Will hold remaining bottles for a while and hope for the best.
