A beautiful medium to dark golden color (especially for a Sauv Blanc). This wine is so much more complex than any Sauv Blanc we (Dede & I) have ever had. It has almost Rieslling characteristics....nice mouthfeel, mineral aspects, honey, lemon...and, I probably wouldn't have picked this out, but as Gary Vaynerchuk said in his review, a little shot of Jalapeno. But still is crisp & clean as you would expect from a Sauv Blanc. This is excellent wine....I hope I can get more of this.

Golden straw color; Primary scents are lemon peel and pineapple, joined with jalapeno pepper. Taste is complex consisting of the aforementioned lemon peel and pineapple along with a little dish soap and cayenne mixed in. It finishes with a slight pleasing bitterness and a nice kick of acidity. Compared to the few other SVs I've had, this is truly excellent.

(CASA MARIN SAUVIGNON BLANC LAUREL) #1; COLOR-crazy golden; NOSE-jalapeno pepper, asparagus, surrounded by honey; TASTE-wow, a shocking shot of sugar, then gets very complex, creamy, butter, jalapeno, long finish, great acidity; "one of the most intriguing, complex, well-produced Sauv. Blancs I've ever had"; "this may be the singular best white wine I've ever had from South America" WE-93; GV-95

A more complex white with hints of honeysuckle, vanilla and lemon/lime. Lots of flavor, great with food, but pretty pricey.
