  • Disgorged in 2014. Sparkling wine from Portugal with 22 years on the lees certainly seems interesting. Initially a bit dirty, musty nose of pronounced brioche and certain autolytic notes. It had a certain sweetness, probably dosage of some 10-13g/l, but it was wearing it well. It was lacking the verve and tension on the palate, you could feel that it is not a good, mature Champagne. Anyway, it was lovely given the price and as an experience.
