My in-laws were over for dinner again (they only live 100 meters away) and since my mother-in-law prefers sweet wine, I thought this would be a good choice. I received it almost three years ago as part of a mystery case from Last Bottle and pretty much forgot about it until now. I have to say I like both the liter bottle and the screw-top closer and the contents are not that shabby either. Still fairly light in the glass with a light straw hue with the slightest hints of yellow. Flinty with pear fruit on the nose and a nice tartness on the palate. This is not going to set the bar for German Riesling, but it just might make your mother-in-law happy. thedrunkencyclist.com

Inoffensive but uninspiring riesling that's a good fit for sushi and raw bar and the like, or aperitif porch pounding, but soon forgotten. Very light yellow color. It's a little aromatically tight, with a little apple, pear, lemon, and chalky minerality showing. Medium body, medium(+) acidity, short finish, and flavors of apple, pear, lemon/lime soda, and minerality. I like this 1L format.

A pretty good Halbtroken. Nice sweetness, not too dry but right where a halbtroken should be. Good fruit and acidity. A bit thin and slightly out of balance on acidity....should be a little less acid when trying to balance that half-way line so both the fruit and acidity show.

The wine has high acidity. The body is light. The wine finishes short. It tastes like pear and apple. The wine has smooth texture. Just average

Another Last Bottle 'meh'. Not bad, with green apple and pear, but light bodied and very ordinary. 84-86
