Taste of ten years with Lianzijia (Newmarket, Auckland): Decanted 30 mins. Deep garnet, with slight brick hue. Dark berries, moderate oak, well integrated. Some spices and mocha, m+ body, fine grained tannins, a little powdery. Long finish with creamy chocolate, cigar box and bacon savoury notes.
I like the warm round alcohol, smooth texture and mild cedar in palate, feel very cozy and relax. Highly mature, could stay at peak at least in the next 5 years.
Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 18/20, Overall 5+4/10 Total 95/100

Welcome back NZ, Cynthia! (Forrest Hill, Auckland): open and breath in bottle for 30 min. m+ depth red with garnet hue. moderate and decent flavours with restrained power, dark fruits, mild spices and chocolate. m+ bodied, m+ tannins, still a little firm. m++ finish with some vanilla and cedar notes. all integrated and in a good harmony. a wonderful HB blend from the greatest vintage 2013. it's very enjoyable now, but can continue developing 3-5 years in cellar.
