An exemplary product of the Okanagan valley and a good value. Fruit forward wine tasting of cherries, currants and blackberries with underlying hints of cedar and maybe a bit of leather. Dense and a bit boozy. Still quite tannic, and with a high acid content - I'll wait a couple more years before drinking the next one.

It was with trepidation on this Tuesday mid-week night that I opened this bottle that someone recently gave an 82. I had thought something of such a low ranking would have essences of cardboard and was surprised to see any Tinhorn Creek wine with such a low score.
What I found was a nose of spice, cherry and a soft smooth taste of ripe red fruits, no astringency or acidity, and that it simply rolled over my tongue. Definitely no cardboard.

Very nice blend. After 12 years the wine has matured nicely.

Mildly fruity but with an over abundance of acidity.
