  On the one hand a straightfoward young Rioja but on the other this always punches above its weight to deliver a fruit forward, very pleasant wine with a touch of earthiness a mineral zip and a longer finish that you'd expect. Consistent through vintages too. Quite 'modern' I suppose but has bags of character for a simple wine. No over oak, green or simply thin juice as many joven Riojas offer. Can handle both simple and deeper flavoured food. Excellent QPR and a midweek favourite in our house,when you don't want to go Reserva level. 88 for the combination of wine and the QPR.
