everyday cab. nothing special. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral. It tastes like flint. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

The nose is a positive. Classic dark fruit and it lingers. The pour is semi elegant, nothing to write home about; but, legs were decent. Decanted, the nose opened well. The first taste resembles a zin. The finish could be longer. Paired well with blackened snapper and grouper!.

decanted 2 hours. Great QPR. Typical CA cab, a bit "rough".. only saying that compared to more expensive CA cabs that you can tell are more polished and composed. This has that same basis, just rough around the edges. Fruit a bit overwhelmed by the heat. More suited as a food wine. Excellent pairing with steak.

Interesting wine in many aspects. The color is ruby-purble with a hint of brown. Nose is pleasant, while fruit comes through there is no single fruit that immediately dominates, instead complexity of fruit, green and some subtle wood. In the palate reasonably well balanced, good round tannins, just enough acidit giving the wine a well rounded and smooth character while being full bodied. Not as striking as my favourite from them, the unfiltered merlot. But also less pricy.
