  • Golden in color. Very light on the nose with citrus. This has aged well with citrus and apple on the palette. Finish had very light tartness and was still very nice.

  • In a good state of preservation and a typical, quite minerally village Meursault but goodness is the acidity powerful here.

  • Last time I had this the acid became very dominant over time, so popped and poured. Looks and tastes very young - great condition. Light nose with gentle citrus aromas and a touch of butter. Quite taut for a Meursault bit good lemon fruit, well integrated oak and some minerals in the background. The acidity is certainly there but less prominent on this showing.

  • Popped and poured. In immaculate condition - lively green/gold colour. Complex and lovely nose with citrus fruit, minerals and leaf mould - more Puligny than Meursault but very fine. Very youthful still but showing more complexity than a normal village Meursault. Taut minerallly fruit, a little austere and restrained but very fine. Alas 1996 intrusive acidity starts to creep in. Needs drinking quickly otherwise this comes to dominate. Without the acidity this would have been great but it ends up being a bit too tart on the finish - a shame. Great nose though.
