  • I really enjoyed the 2012 and while this one has a higher abv, it didn't disappoint. Aged for 7 months in French oak barrels. Bright ruby towards cherry red in color, with on the nose fresh wild strawberries, cherries, dried rose petals as well as a hint of toasty wood. Light to medium-bodied, elegant and very lean, with on the palate tart strawberries, red currants and sour cherries with some mineral on the mid-palate followed by a touch of nutmeg, medium-plus acidity and NOTES of roasted coffee beans as well as gentle tannins rising on the moderately long finish. Very nice, varietally true albeit not overly complex Pinot Noir, well-made, a very solid QPR. 13.5% Abv.
