Dark garnet color. Light pinot nose with a whiff of mint. Sour cherries in a thin, not well rounded, flavor. After overnight, this was a deeper, more robust and layered wine showing black cherries and blackberries.

The nose was pinot, but not very assertive. The fruits were right up front, especially the raspberries and the cherries. There was also a bit of earth and a stronger, almost resin taste. It moderated after an hour.

This wine took about one hour to open up and show some very pleasant cherry and berry fruit flavors. It also seemed to have some of the mineral and earth characteristics I want to expect from a Oregon Pinot.

This was the fourth of four pinots tasted from this label. This wine was good but not overly impressive with character. I thought that the Mountain Terroir blend was deeper and more interesting. Still a very drinkable wine.

Similar to tasting on 3/22 where the fruit was a bit thin, except that on the second day this wine went right by and was acidic and bitter.
