Very nice offering from 2 Lads, and fantastic for a Michigan wine. Opened for about 1 hour before drinking, my wife tried it right after opening- it benefits from some time in the glass (or decanting/aerating). Dark burgundy color; nose: blackberry, currant, anise, a little pencil lead?; taste: consistent with nose-currant, anise, a little pepper, mid-palate, medium finish, the French oak aging seemed to add to the great flavor and smooth mouthfeel. Overall a great wine, but not sure it commands the price.
