Interesting to drink at ten years and while this was certainly full bodied and more shiraz than syrah, it was well made and much better with the time in bottle. Notes of spice and pepper and good length without too much heaviness.

Haskell Vineyards Tasting Session (Haskell Vineyards): Tasted blind: ripe, ash, some smoke to it, S.Africa to me, pomace, palate is rich and sweet, a fair bit of extract, with a chalky edge of tannin. Not bad but for me a little too sweet for top quality. more old school Shiraz.
