Purple without any bricking. Hot. Longer legs. Pepper and dark fruit. Vanilla. Still tannic. Little rough and simple. Abrupt finish. Will sit until 2023 on the second bottle.

From magnum and really darn good right now. Does have some new world fruit, but comes across as balanced and nicely rounded. Plus good complexity in the aromatics.

Bought 2 mags for 25/mag from a local retailer earlier this fall; this is #1. No decant, but might next time after finding some sediment on the shoulder and with last pours. Purple; good red berry nose, hint of oak; red fruits, some oak, bit of tartness, good mouthfeel; some persistence. Seemed simple but tasty, enjoyed by six of us as the red we paired with a Moroccan dinner (chicken tagine, root vegetables, sweet potatoes--cumin, coriander, garlic prominent): perhaps a tough pairing. Glad I have one more. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable when considering quality, age, and price.
