  • With K at home at dinner (spaghetti). Nice light-medium ruby-purple color. Fairly weak legs. Soft fruity nose. Smells more like a Merlot. Straightforward, easy to like. Touch of alcohol. Silky smooth and very supple in the mouth. Light on the fruit, even austere. Still, has an almost coffee-like note on the finish that saves it from being boring. Not a wine I would buy again--has never tasted nearly as good at it did the first time I tasted it.; 4-9-12-4: 79/100.

  • With K at home at dinner (pizza). Medium-dark ruby. Coffee, hints of violets in the nose; ripe fruit, high extract. On the palate, good concentration, slightly raisiny, tart flavors. Almost late harvest in style and flavor. 5-8-13-5: 81/100

  • With K at home at dinner (hamburgers). Ruby-purple. Very voluptuous, forward and fruity (almost grapy) nose. Reminiscent of a good Chateauneuf-du-Pape. On the palate, very soft, silky and smooth. Good flavor. Finish a bit short. This wine is ready to drink. 5-10-14-5: 84/100.
