Vincent Latour consistently produces delicious white burgundies from his vineyards in Meursault. This village level Bourgogne Blanc is light lemon in color with aromas of ripe apples, citrus blossum and limestone minerality. On the mid-palate there is juicy ripe lemon, ripe orchard fruit (mostly apple) and some young pineapple, balanced by med+ acidity and soft limestone minerality. When first opened the wine wasn't well integrated, with too much wood on the finish, but 24 hours later it was drinking nicely. Still, I think that this wine is young and will benefit from a couple more years in the cellar. Lucky for us, we still have a case of his 2011 Bourgogne Blanc.
