  • Aged for 10 months in oak pièces and 6 months in bottles before release.

Deep yellow-green color. Surprisingly light - even mute - nose at first, but starts to open up slowly, revealing aromas of toasty oak spice, some ripe yellow fruits, a little bit of subtle creaminess and a hint of red apple. Feels like the wine could use a lot more time after opening. The wine feels firm, light-to-medium-bodied and quite acid-driven on the palate with vibrant, dry flavors of ripe apples, toasted notes, rich creaminess, some buttery character, light peachy fruit and a little bit of coarse and even slightly bitter wood spice. The wine is very bright and structured thanks to the almost racy acidity. The finish is long and persistent with flavors of stony minerality, a bit more pronounced toasty oak, a little bit of ripe red apples, a hint of peach and a touch of woody bitterness.

A well-made, balanced and classic white Burgundy that feels a bit too heavily oaked at this point. The balanced high acidity promises good aging potential, however, so most likely the wine can integrate the most pronounced oak notes with a handful of years in a cellar. For current enjoyment the wine doesn't feel ready yet, coming across as a bit awkward and woody. Perhaps a bit pricey at 27,90€, but not excessively so.
