As we slog through a shelter in place it is always best to reorder your wines and find a little surprise. This was this week’s happy treasure. I see some notes claiming this to be a dud in 2017 but I found this to be a very enjoyable pour. Great dusty nose and smooth tannins. I have bought Keever in years and this one reminded me of what I am missing. Truly enjoyable. Nowhere near the Zombie wine I expected.

Great wine! This wine is in its drinking window. Wonderful balance of fruit and tannins. Beautiful dark fruit notes. This wine was great. Wish I had more.

(Keever Cabernet Sauvignon) #4; VaynerPAZZZ (Fun Fact: Celia Welch is winemaker; also of Scarecrow); COLOR-dark; NOSE-very bright nose; like melted down cherry Italian Ice juice (artificial); really over-the-top, but it's kind of charming and it's really intense; also integrated w/ grape Big League chew; VERY candied; PALATE-a little over-oaked for me; very thick and viscous on the palate; little peppermint egg Nog which is nice; but not worth $90 bones; can replicate this at $35-$50 Napa cabs; the Shafer One Point Five blows this away with so many more layered flavors; nice solid blackberry; black currant and blueberry; solid; you can drink and enjoy this, but nowhere close to $90; GV-88+

Excellent bottle, still has a nice tannic structure. Softened after about 30 min.
