Much more settled than the last bottle a year ago. Fruit and tannin have calmed down, and the overall impression is more refined. Still has structure to age a bit, but in a good spot now.

PNP. This was still a little rough right out of the gate so double decanted. Better night two with full body although tannin is still stern. Not sure that this will ever be mellow....serve with something that will absorb the tannin. Will wait another 4-5 for next one

PNP. cork perfect. color light garnet. nose is pure cherry and rock salt. swishing gives almost scorching acid and crunchy cherry fruit. acids coat the cheeks and tongue and the finish gets a little stemmy. sipping allows the fruit to mute the acid to a much more tolerable level. this wine is pretty dense for a village gevrey. a pass thru the vinturi softens it a little and I think that this will be quite good with more bottle time. I plan to wait for 4-5 yrs to try again.
