This has really changed from the hard edged and angular bottle I opened just after release, it has come together and rounded out nicely. It jumped out of the glass smelling of white flowers, muskmelon and ripe peach with river rock, human sweat, lamp oil and a hint of mint. It tasted of honeydew, grilled peach, cantaloupe, sweet pear and candied lime peel with dry tea leaf, wet stones then hints of white pepper and camphor. Rich oily texture but with good acid to keep it from coming off heavy.
Very nice and ready to go.

Likely the wine of the evening. Acidity is now tamed and this truly complements any hard cheese. Also played well with the richness of the prosciutto and salami. I wish I had more. I would love to see more American GV if this is a glimpse of the potential.

PnP. Better bottle or improving with a little more time? In any event, really singing. Mid- weight, mid+ acid. 12.2%

PnP; tasted over two days. A very A-R take on gruner: low alcohol and high acid. Might peak in another year or two, but yummy now. 12.2%

Citrus, herbs, and minerals on the nose. Refreshing acidity with lime and stone fruit notes on the palate. Medium finish.
