The nose on this thing is starting to open up a bit... very Meursault with it citrus oil and roasted nut aromas... slightly honeyed, some malo notes, some new and used oak barrique baking spice notes, plenty of minerality. On the palate high acidity, low in phenols, tons of extract, moderate alcohol. Very well balanced wine with great intensity and complexity... excellent length. Wine has plenty of finesse, a nice deep minerally and rich texture, fantastic expression of place. Easily outstanding wine that is beginning to enter its peak drinking window... drink now with some air or hold a couple of years.

Really rich, could be new world chard, but dang, it's good. Rich tropical fruit flavors to go with firm acidity, minerality and some background citrus. Nose has some vanilla and the palate some butter, but neither stands out - a good thing to me.

30th Birthday Dinner (Le Gourmand: Seattle, WA): Dark straw in color. Some kind of tropical fruit thing going on in the nose. Also a hint of grass. Lots of vibrant acidity. Full body, lush and round in the mouth giving a finish with a smoky / earthy feel to it.

(Deux Montille Meursault 1er Cru Charmes) Restrained nose, a little wood and floral notes; tasty, floral sweetness with good acidity and body, and notions of stone fruit; medium-plus honeyed finish
